Can you recall eating your favorite candy for the very first time? There’s something magical about tasting chocolate or candy for the very first time. It’s one of those tiny, unforgettable moments where curiosity, surprise, and pure joy collide all at once.
At first, one approaches it cautiously. They might poke it, sniff it, or turn it around like a mysterious treasure. They don’t yet know what sweetness is, they only know the familiar comfort of milk, fruit, or simple snacks. So, this brightly wrapped treat feels like an adventure waiting to happen.

Chocolate Addiction
I remember eating chocolate for the first time…
Melting in my hands and getting filthy
I can still hear mom screaming when she saw me covered and full of chocolate like it was a sin that the seal was even broken.
I had become addicted to the taste and needed it almost every day
Chocolate like caffeine had me geeked up and yearning for more…
I learned the tricks of eating chocolate, putting it in the freezer making it hard as a brick. I would lick and suck it until it became warm and melted in my mouth.
Wondering why something so good was so bad. I had just known mom had chocolate before she would understand.
Different flavors, sizes and some even came with cream in the middle, fingers fiddled. I became addicted to chocolate and needed it almost every day…
It was something about the sweetness that filled every taste bud making me eat nonstop not even coming up for air.
I was in love with the taste, starting at the top and eating it to the end, silklike skin it was smooth and not to be rude, but you couldn't have any.
Knowing it was plenty, but this was like it had been lost and found the wrapper was black leather printed with a gold crown, and I was happy to have it.
I had become addicted to the taste that needed it like every day.
